A scalp-care routine you will actually keep

Across almost every study of hair and scalp interventions, one factor predicts results better than the specific product: whether people kept going. Routines fail because they are too long, not because they are too weak.

Start with three things a week

Not daily. Three sessions a week is enough to build a habit and matches what most light therapy protocols actually use. Pick the days and attach them to something you already do, like a Sunday evening or after a Wednesday shower.

A simple weekly shape

  • Two or three light sessions. Twenty minutes on clean, dry hair. Both our devices time themselves and shut off, so you are not watching a clock.
  • Two oil applications. A few drops of castor and rosemary oil worked into the scalp, not the lengths. Massage it in for a minute or two.
  • One proper wash-day massage. A silicone massager while shampooing, a couple of minutes, firm but not scraping.

What to skip

Doing light sessions every day will not speed anything up, and more product does not absorb better. If you are short on time, drop the extras and keep the light sessions.

Give it a fair trial

Judge the routine at month four, not month one. Anything that changes in the first few weeks is more likely to be styling, weather or your own attention than actual growth.
